The third annual Reno Hackathon proved to be another fun and inspiring weekend of coding and connecting! I was so captivated by the spirit of learning and creating that I set out to learn and build something new. My primary role for the event was as volunteer and Microsoft subject matter expert, however, a new project was born during the downtime and through the wee hours.
The objective was to learn about Microsoft Azure machine learning (ML) by building a model to determine investor sentiment of tweets. It was a challenge to complete the project within 24-hours, but by dawn a working model was up and running.
